Student and Trainee Publications

Dr. Rajesh Pandav, a then-graduate student in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh, played a role in the Indo-US project, published papers using the Indo-US project data, and also used Indo-US data for his thesis. Dr. Pandav received his Master’s Degree in Public Health in 2002, presenting a thesis on “Factors associated with cognitive impairment and dementia in a rural Indian population.

In 2002, Rajesh received the Outstanding Student Award from the University of Pittsburgh. Pictured below, Rajesh celebrates this award with Mary and Rohan Ganguli.

In October of 2020, Dr. Pandav was appointed World Health Organization (WHO) Representative to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Click the link for the news release.
